Who We Are

The Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data is a global network bringing together governments, the private sector, and civil society organizations dedicated to using the data revolution to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. 

What We Do

The Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data drives action at the local, national, and global level to ensure the new opportunities of the data revolution are used to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

Our 300 partners are joining forces to take action, galvanize political commitment, build trust, and spur innovation in the booming data ecosystems of the 21st century.

The inaugural Data for Development Festival brought together 400 representatives of governments, civil society, NGOs, and the private sector. Nearly 1,500 people joined the conversation online using #Data4DevFest, helping us reach more than 6 million people across six continents.

Africa Regional Data Cube - making satellite data easily available for sustainable development

The Africa Regional Data Cube, formally launched at a high-level event in Nairobi, Kenya, is a new tool that harnesses Earth observation and satellite technology to help Kenya, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Ghana, and Tanzania address food security and issues relating to agriculture, deforestation, and water access.

 

The data cube was developed by the Committee on Earth Observation Satellites (CEOS) in partnership with the Group on Earth Observations, Amazon Web Services, Office of the Deputy President – Kenya, Strathmore University, and the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data. Learn more.
